Thank you to everyone who has sent us gift cards, snacks, gifts for Oliver, cleaned our house, done our laundry, brought over meals… we cannot express how grateful we are for your generosity. I know that our wishlist was all purchased within an hour of so! If I am able, I will add a few more things but we truly have all we need.
Oliver did great with the chemo yesterday— a 10 min drip into his central line and a liquid taken by mouth of a neon yellow chemo drug. As his doctor said, this treatment course should be anti-climactic. He shouldn’t have very intense symptoms and we should mostly be bored, which is a good thing for sure.
We are working on managing his pain right now, which can be hard at night. His days have been good though and we are hoping that as his chemo progresses, the pain and the fevers will start to subside.
Thank you for your continued prayers that this first round of chemo would be successful.
